Coffee, Cupcakes, Nachos with extra extra extra cheese, and unforgettable beer. Sounds like the best Thursday night ever right! Welcome to Trivia night at Brews on Washington in Spokane.
A small hangout place located on Washington street between Sprague and 1st, Brews on Washington has been our local trivia hot spot for over a year. Trivia nights have become more and more popular lately and like my blog on Bon Bon, there always seems to be one place that really knows how to do it right. Starting with the most inappropriate names like “Crouching woman hidden cucumber” or “ Rosa parks didn’t call shot gun” This place creates an atmosphere where you learn everyone’s names and look forward to Brett saying something that allows you to diss on his mom.
Now I know that some of you may be wondering what is a small place like this that has nothing to do with craft distilleries doing on this site? Well lets talk about Craft Breweries for a second. Although this site is dedicated to the craft distilling industry, there is another amazing and wonderful industry booming right here in the states that Brews on Washington loves to represent. With 6 taps that are ever changing, they are always filling you cup with unbelievable brews from all over the PNW. Did you know that the craft brewing industry currently provides an estimated 100,000 jobs, contributing significantly to the U.S. economy?
My favorite is to see craft distilleries and craft breweries join together to birth some of the best beers I have ever tasted. A good example is Boundary Bay Brewing joined with Dry Fly Distilling to produce an unbelievable scotch ale that was aged in Dry Fly Whiskey barrels. If your local breweries are not taking advantage of this idea I recommend you hint at it the next time you stop in.
If your local to Spokane Washington, make sure you stop in to Brews and have a beer. Don’t forget to check out Trivia night thursdays at 7:00!
