With winter fading into the back of our minds once again we happily accept spring and summer with open arms.
Spring has always had a special place in my heart. It’s not that winter is over that gets me excited, it’s all the small things about spring that light me up like driving with the windows down, or the smell of mowing the lawn, waking up to sunlight, and putting on your dusty shorts and flip flops. Spring makes me smile again like finding 20 bucks in my pocket that I knew I had but forgot about.
The best part about spring however is all the fun and fruity drinks that spring out (sorry for the pun). With craft spirits on the rise, it is getting easier to find new and inventive liqueurs to try like BroVo Spirits’s Lavender Liqueur, or MB Roland Distillery’s Kentucky Pink Lemonade.
With the BBQ on high, and a cold drink in my hand, there is nothing better than grabbing a patio chair and sitting in the grass with my wife. In celebration of this amazing weather we have I wanted to share two recipes with you that seem to kick off spring in the right way.
Spring Steak
- Favorite Cut of Steak
- Large bottle of A1 Steak Sauce
- On
e bottle of your favorite beer
- 2 shots of you favorite Whiskey
- 1tsp Garlic Salt
- 1tsp Onion Powder
- 1tsp McCormick steak seasoning
- Favorite Hot Sauce (add what you want)
Take all ingredients and mix in large bowl. Tenderize steak (stab it a bunch with a fork) and marinate overnight. The next night grill them to you preferred doneness and enjoy!
- 1 shot Vodka
- 1 shot Whip Cream Vodka
- 1 shot Peach Schnapps
- 1 shot X Rated
- 1 shot Triple Sec
- Splash of Orange Juice
Pour over ice and enjoy, but please don’t down and repeat, this is a sipper!
